The Villa

Villa K, an earth house by Studio KO.

Thirty minutes from Marrakech, in the countryside of Oumnass, Villa K is an architectural house completed in 2009, with 600 m² of built space set within nearly two hectares. It includes five suites, a thirty-metre heated pool, gardens, terraces and a rooftop overlooking the Atlas.

Material

Material, shade and light

Raw earth, patinated iron, unfinished cedar: a mineral palette of ivory, sand and deep brown. Openings frame the landscape; shadow becomes a material of its own.
